Week Fiftyone

Snowshoe Hare Thinking
"You chased me out of my warm hole."

"Its cold out here and a storm is coming. I'm giving you the look.""I'm coming back, get away from my hole.""I think I can take you, get out of my way!"

"Each species is a masterpiece,
a creation assembled with extreme
care and genius."
-Edward O. Wilson

That is a beautiful creature. I have seen a large one like that. Great shots. Of course all the wild ones around these parts are the brown ones. Helen

I love rabbits, especially rabbits with attitude --- and this one has attitide! Good catch, ahem, no pun intended.

I know this is a hare and not a rabbit but don't talk to me about either of them. The rabbits around here have been feasting on my saplings on whom I have been heaping TLC to get them through this horrific heat wave we're having. What hasn't died from the heat has been a feast for the bunnies and I am NOT happy :(

Another wonderful series of shots, of a very difficult creature to capture on camera, you must have sat for hours..and got sooo cold..if they are anything like our British Hare one movement or noise and they are gone. Beautiful, beautiful work. :0)
